The last day of the year and it seems to have gone by so very fast with a new event always on the horizon. Last night Marta and I watched Belle and sabastian ; the adventure continues, it's a nice gentle French film essentially a rip off of lassie but it's good all the same.
My connected home is coming on a pace a few years ago I invested in lightwave rf to control all my light switches as well as a reading lamp in the front room and bedroom in my flat and at the beginning of last year I bought hive heating and hot water control so I could control that from my phone also. I have to say the latter has reduced my energy bill by quiet a sum. To add to those I bought an echo dot from Amazon on Black Friday, the little hockey puck size divide controls both of those via speech which is really handy.
To go alongside that I also bought the Amazon fire stick to watch movies and tv shows on, I cancelled the sports and movies from my virgin media subscription and saved £56 a month from that whilst only paying £5.99 for Amazon prime which also give me free delivery from Amazon too. So far I've watched all of the first season of 24 I'm just starting the second season of manhattan and countless films too. It was a good investment. Not to mention watching the old top gear boys on the grand tour too. I'm impressed with it. I'm wondering weather to try Netflix too but I'll give that a little thought.
I'm trying audible too as it reads books over the echo dot and is great while sitting in the bath, at the moment it's John Grisham's A time to kill but there's still a way to go on that one.
Even though I was at work earlier this afternoon in all it's been a nice day. Marta cooked us some nice pasta for a late breakfast/early lunch and I had a lovely hot bath before work. I was on a self managed machine with a good crowd so my shift went quickly and I was able to watch a large chunk of manhattan from Amazon prime on my break.
So I'm on my way home from work to cuddle up with marta watch a good film and see the new year in with some Buck's Fizz and baked Camembert (not the healthiest option for the middle of the night but hay). I'll try to post a picture of the Camembert latter catch you guys tomorrow:-)
