8 days a week

January 4th 2017

Marta and I decided to watch a movie together last night and skipping through the new additions to Amazon prime Ron Howard's 8 days a week stood out, mainly because it was a new release having only been out in the cinema last September. I'm not entirely sure of what to make of this documentary. If your a Beatles fan then you'll enjoy it but nothing there will be new to you and most of the footage you'll have seen before. It goes with out saying that it's put together really well and there are interviews with all of the Beatles some taken from archived footage obviously and it gives you a good overview of their tours and what was happening in the band at the time. Also a brief over view into the development of the Beatles brand/band but if you want to see that then Anthology has far more depth. I recommend it as a watch but only buy it if your a serious Beatles fan or Ron Howard fan because you'll never play it otherwise.

It should be my last early today but I've booked overtime for tomorrow morning 0445 shift I'll keep you updated on how that works out. but todays shift was really hectic and busy with a massive back log of passengers but in a way it was nice and like the old days an environment that I'm more than used too. I got back to the car only to find the duel mass fly wheel is on its way out and the car was having trouble starting but eventually it caught and I was able to drop my car share partner home before  coming home to Marta.

New stylus for Turntable
I came home to find the new stylus had arrived for my turntable so I replaced it and now it sounds great so we listened to some pink floyd the division bell. Marta made us a nice lunch of chicken pasta and we caught up with the latest season of Gold Rush. The season is coming to a head for all the miners and Todd's crew at 316 mining have walked out and left him, the other miners I believe will be ok. Parker's having dramas and falling a tad behind schedule. I think his season will turn out ok. Tony Beets is concentrating on his new dredge I'm sure there'll be some drama to come.

I ordered a replacement fly wheel and clutch for my Jaguar and phoned my mechanic to see if he'll replace it only to find he's moving and not available until February at the earliest. I'll get some quotes from other places and try to hold out if I can. well I've droned on enough I'll catch you all tomorrow :-)
