First Ride With Uber

So I might be a bit behind the times but today was my first experience with uber and I have to say it was great.

I got a phone call telling me my Jaguar was ready to be picked up from the garage for that is there native environment you see and as I had a free ride on uber loaded onto my new account it was a no brainer.  I opened the app and typed the postcode of my destination and there were plenty of cars in my area at the time so it was instantly picked up by one of them and they were on their way to me right then. Uber gave me an ETA of arrival with the number plate and model of the car that was picking me up. they even suppled the name of the driver. As soon as the app said he was two minutes away I went out side to wait and sure enough a white BMW pulled into my road with in the two minutes. He checked that I was the right person and we were on our way.

It was school time so I wasn't expecting great progress as I have a school at the end of my road but my driver Peter nosed his way through the traffic with ease I was impressed as I have problems myself at that junction. We made good progress to the garage and Peter was engaging and chatty and the trip passed by in no time. Its a really great service and theres so much there to make you feel safe and secure I can see why they are putting normal mini cabs out of business. We reached my destination and I was soon in my beloved Jaguar which drives like new after its hefty repair bill for a new flywheel and clutch but thats a story for another time. Uber full marks all round from me.
