First trip to Poland Part 1 Pre trip thoughts.

So it's only a few days until I go with my amazing Polish girlfriend back to her home city for a week long trip. We've checked in for our flights online, booked the parking and ordered the priority security check. All that's really left is the packing and then it's away we go.

I've traveled all over Europe France, Spain and Greece to name but a few but that's old Europe and in general terms it's pretty much the same where ever you go to that end the European Union is doing a great job of hermogonisation before you yell and tell me that each country is different and has its own identity I'll concede that yes they are all different but you'll have to be fair and say otherwise it's pretty much the same there's pretty much always a McDonald's close by to eat if your in desperate need, the banks are all names you know there's a whole list of things that are common to the whole of the EU.

But now I'm going to new Europe the Europe that's been behind the iron curtain for fifty years. I'm sure it's no different to the rest by now but it'll be interesting to see has it been saturated with western brands is it the same as the rest of Europe I'm not sure what to expect and as much as I'm excited I'm also hesitant am I leaving my comfortable world for a new adventure or is it just the same under a different banner ?
