Mangled front of Jaguar XJR |
Back in October last year my carshare partner and I were driving home from work down a road we use every day. It was about 2230, even though its not a duel carriage way the speed limit on this bit of road is 60mph and we must have been going about that fast. There are turnings off of the road into premises that have storage facilities there.

Airbags Deployed Jaguar XJR |
Well a lorry didn't see my friends black Jaguar and pulled out in front of him casing him to swerve and hit the traffic island in between the two apposing lanes. This instantly ripped the tires from the wheels and we were on an uncontrollable trip to the other side of the road. Even though it could only have been seconds I still found the time for a couple of choice words. Firstly we hit a sign and ripped that out of the ground before finally hitting a steel lamp post. I can honestly say as I saw the lamp post getting bigger in the windscreen I thought we were off to meet our maker. As the speed wasn't that great all that happened was the car spun from the impact. Sitting in a destroyed Jaguar the silence was deafening until my friend asked in a calm voice. "You Ok ?" luckily I was and the reply came "Yeah I'm Ok, how bout you ?" The response from this stayed with me and I'm glad it was a Good one "yeah, Lets get out"

Minutes after Crash Front of the Jaguar |

Side View Of Crashed Jaguar XJR |
It wasn't long after we were out of the car that the police turned up, the once beautiful XJR was now a steaming wreck leaking oil and coolant all over the sip road we'd ended up in. The police took reports and statements from us and other witnesses at the scene. And we had to wait for a traffic car to come to breathalyse my friend. He hadn't been drinking so there was no problem. He Had a few injuries with his hand and lower back he discovered latter. But I was completely fine and back to work, even working a couple of double shifts just days after. Its a true testament to the strength of the car that we are here today to recount the tail. So even though the go wrong every other month and I complain about mine there's something I owe to and old black Jaguar.
