If you're like me for the start of this film you'll see Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, Its a shame a rude, arrogant and sarcastic Robert Downey Jr will forever be Tony Stark but stick with it and let it play a bit further theres a pleasant surprise coming. Robert Duvall there i just ruined the surprise, He's simply amazing and the anchor of the movie and if you have to have an anchor he's the man.

Robert Downey Jr is a big city lawyer who takes the case's of the guilty and knows every trick there is for his client. When during a case he gets the news his mother has died. Unlike like the other 1000 times, this time she has actually died. with his marriage slipping away he goes home to the the south to be reunited with his stay home brothers one owns the tire shop the other one is a simple country boy. After his mums funeral they notice damage on their fathers Caddy and the Father (Judge) can't remember what happened due to ill health. with a big family argument Robert Downy Jr leaves and vows never to return. While sitting on the plane he gets a phone call from his brother, thinking its an olive branch he rebuffs the call only to hear his father has been arrested for hit and run and he's the only one who can save him.

The brash slick city lawyer not only has to fight to save his dying father from his murder case but also his the pressure of keeping his standing in the community as well, which limits the tactics he can use in his defence. This movie is a family coming together and an estranged son getting back together with his hero father to fight the last fight and keep his memory alive. I was surprised and enjoyed this film.
