White Out (2011)
Set and dystopian world where the northern hemisphere its gripped in a perpetual winter and the southern hemisphere is in the grip of a drought as the result of fossil fuel's. This film walks you through the newly recruited member of the public department for health. Charged with conducting questionnaires to track the progress of a pandemic that is sweeping the world called Carella Jon gets more and more disillusioned with his role and conditions get progressively worse in the world around him. Due to the horrific weather food is short and theres only essential post coming through which means more surveys to complete but no contact with his girlfriend and her child. When one woman he's surveyed is placed in quarantine and he's unable to deliver help he realises the truth about his role. To decide who will be taken away for the good of the public health. This is to much for Jon and with it becoming ever harder to escape street gangs desperate for food and answers he does the only thing he can, takes a long walk into the snow.

This film was clearly made on a budget and takes it inspiration from Orwell. Its an okay watch as long as you can handle the shaky camera work and obvious constraints of budget.
