After arriving yesterday I managed to make it through to about four in the afternoon before needing to retire and knock out. It might have been the early start or the fact that its so quiet but i went into a deep sleep. I woke up when Marta came to bed but otherwise I was finished.
This morning we were getting ready to explore Wroclaw city centre after having a nice breakfast of eegs. Marta walked to the local shop to buy me some cigarets which was nice and after she returned we went to the local bus stop to go into town.

Public transport works here mainly because it is cheep costing just under a £1 to get to the city centre the equivalent journey in England coming in at £4 and unlike its Polish equivalent it would take lots of stops away from the direct route one assumes for political reasons. making our way into the city my first though is of the plague of all cities graffiti though not with one prevalent offender I'm thinking of Londons Toxx its there in spades and hard to ignore as it drags a beautiful city down.
stoping at the first shopping centre its hard to believe your on Poland the music pumped through the shopping centre speakers being English T-Rex Telegram Sam greeting me as I walked in. we walked around the centre and my first priority was to get a hat and scarf, even though its -5c outside it doesn't feel as cold as England as the humidity isn't as high and theres hardly any wind. We looked around finding a nice scarf in Cropp but not wanting to jump in straight away we looked around in other stores. Marta was looking for shoes and bags as always.

North Fish Worclaw |
We took a break and went for lunch while there was the normal western brands of McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and Pizza Hut we chose to go for fish and chips with additional buffet of veg and other sides. While it wasn't the best food and the fish was greasy if I'm honest it was very cheep coming in at around £13 for three of us 89zl that included 3 fizzy drinks. It was nice and I did pile my plate high with food. The food court was nice and clean and the most popular outlet being McDonalds. If you look around there where vouchers giving a good discount on prices for both McDonald's and KFC.

While Marta was shopping for a necklace I popped outside and had a cigaret and bumped into another english fellow a bronze statue sitting outside the shopping centre keeping guard and besting the virtues of travel on passing people.

Our next experience was the tram this works well in a city with medium traffic but having a system like this in a UK city would be carnage with out separate lanes. But the cost of a tram ticket being only 60p or 3zl it makes sense to get around this way, working on an honesty system where you stamp your own ticket electronically it makes a short journey a lot easier.
English visitors need to remember that jay walking is a crime punished with an on the spot fine of 10zl about £2 but its better than getting run over by a silent tram.
In the next shopping centre we stopped for coffee at a small coffee shop for a mocha, I feel this was a disappointment and a Starbucks or Costa would have been a better choice as the mocha delivered was like ditch water and hardly worth the effort. Doing some final bits of shopping before getting the tram back to the centre I bought a woolly hat and long snood from Cropp and though about buying a winter coat from another store. Back in the centre of town after another short tram ride we had half an hour to kill before the bus was there. Marta bought some shoes at CCC and that rounded out our shopping trip we headed home on the bus tired.
